Etihad Modern Art Gallery 43rd National Day Celebrations


2nd National Day Carnival 2014 - "43: A Tribute to the Union of the Emirates" by Etihad Modern Art Gallery and Al Mutaqa Literary Salon

Incepted by both organizations’ passion for art and literature, the 2nd edition of the National Day Carnival was a festive evening that celebrates Emirati culture and heritage with traditional musical performances to express and instill a wave of vibrant appreciation and patriotism.

Located in Al Bateen area, Abu Dhabi, the street directly in front of the gallery was blocked for the festivities to take place from 6pm. The carnival previewed a total of 43 masterpieces by few of the local and resident artists of Etihad Modern Art Gallery inspired by the UAE and what the country has achieved so far. The carnival and exhibition is a window to the diverse culture and history of the UAE since its founding by the late H.H. Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan in the year 1971 until the present time.

"43: A Tribute to the Union of the Emirates" is a collective exhibition that looks into the essence, culture, tradition, and heritage of the United Arab Emirates highlighting the significant advancement of the UAE in the last 43 years in symbolic and artistic expressions.
